Today, Gwynn went to Brace & Boot here in Columbia. She, since birth, has had somewhat of a flat, wide head. She has recently been diagnosed with mild torticollis and now also with brachycephaly. Sometimes in severe cases the child will need to wear a helmet. Gwynn has been going through physical theraphy for her torticollis (one side of neck is tighter than the other, thus causing head deformation). The photo above is Gwynn getting her head measured. They put this little stocking on her head and then a cape thing and then scanned her head with this laser thing and her head shows up on their computer. It was really neat actually. They then took measurement of her little head and put these measurement into a formula. Final result was that Gwynn does not need a helmet as long as her measurements do not get any worse. We are going back in Decemeber to take her head measurements again to be sure she is not getting worse. Please continue to pray for my patience in doing PT at home and Gwynn's patience and strength as well. Praise the Lord for her measurements not showing need for a helmet!
